Today, the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences (IADAS) announced the Nominees for the 29th Annual Webby Awards. Among those Advertising industry companies recognized this year are Wieden+Kennedy, Dentsu Creative US, Edelman, AKQA, Monks, Critical Mass, MullenLowe U.S., Code and Theory, We Are Social, Ogilvy New York and more.
All Nominees are eligible to win the Internet industry’s two most prestigious awards: The Webby Award, selected by the Academy, and The Webby People’s Voice Award, voted on by the online community. Voting for The Webby People’s Voice Awards is open now at http://vote.webbyawards.com through Thursday, April 17, 2025 at 11:59pm PDT.
The contenders for this year’s coveted advertising Agency of the Year are companies with the highest number of Webby Award nominations across all categories. Leading the nominees are TBWA\Media Arts Lab – LA (17), DEPT® (16), Serviceplan Germany (16), Wieden+Kennedy – Portland (10), We Are Social U.S. (9), Whalar Group (9) and Hirsch Leatherwood (9).
Additionally, the following networks, which earned more Webby Awards nominations across all categories, are in contention for Network of the Year including TBWA Worldwide (23), DEPT® (20), Wieden+Kennedy (20), Stagwell (17), Serviceplan Group (16), Accenture Song (13) and Ogilvy (13).
Alongside Agency of the Year and Network of the Year, the Webbys also recognize Production Company of the Year. Companies currently in the running include m ss ng p eces (7), O Positive (4), APEX Studios (4), Church Edit (4), Indiana Production (3), Kapwa (3) and Shrimpdaddy (3).
And finally, the Webby Awards have introduced the first-ever Brand of the Year award, with Google (38), Apple (38), Samsung (12), YouTube (9), Nike (9), and McDonald’s (7) all in the running for this inaugural recognition.
