The Lovie Awards is our cool, little EU sister—a lot younger, a bit smaller, and always teaching us about the next-level stuff that’s big in Europe. This year’s show was the best one yet, full of talented Winners, inspiring Special Achievement Honorees, and great afterparty cocktails that were enjoyed by all.
Here are our top highlights of this year’s show:
The 4th Annual Lovies
YouTube sensation Danisnotonfire aka Dan Howell is one the most successful vloggers on YouTube, with over 4 million subscribers. Watch him accept his Lovie.
This year’s Lovie Lifetime Achievement went to the very awesome Sophie Wilson who invented the ARM processor that powers almost every single smartphone on the planet. Yes, even the one you are likely reading this on now. Watch and learn.

Sigur Rós are one of Iceland’s most successful musical exports, and time after time they have harnessed the power of the Web to not only deliver music to their fans, but share it with the world. Watch them accept their well-deserved award from legendary British TV personality Jonathan Ross.
Watch celebrity chef, restaurateur and activist Jamie Oliver accept Lovie Person of the Year for using the Web to educate the world about healthy and fresh eating.
GiveMeTap uses technology to create a more sustainable way for Londoners to drink water on the go while also providing clean drinking water to those in need. Watch founder Edwin Broni-Mensah accept his Lovie.
